Biographie:
As a boy, Matt watched darts on television hoping his big brother's favourite, Eric Bristow, would lose. He went on to cheer for Jez Porter and Jamie Caven during nine years working on the Leicester Mercury sports desk and after leaving the newspaper in September, 2004 to work as a freelancer, has gone on to cover darts for publications including The Sentinel, News of the World, Sunday Mirror and Darts World. Matt plays darts occasionally and once beat Dave Soars, the best player he knows who isn't world ranked, with a nerveless 120 check out in the deciding leg at The Tudor pub in Leicester that he still likes to talk about several years later. This is his third book, following Leicester City On This Day and Leicester City Miscellany and he also writes about professional and amateur boxing, rugby union, cricket and music.
