After yet another destructive relationship, Maxwell decides that he should find himself a beautiful, docile Asian wife, so he signs on for a mail order bride. The lovely Mai Ling is more than Maxwell could have ever hoped for, but his ignorance of Eastern culture and his long-prevailing selfishness prevent the Beast from finding true happiness with his Beauty.
