Stop The Gunfight Trapp, 2pac, Notorious Big

The theme of the album is to curb violence in our communities; it even includes a rap about the perils of drinking and driving. Thirteen of the 14 songs were written by Trapp, who also produced the LP. All well and good, but nothing here prompts repeated listens. The best song here is "Be a Realist," which features 2Pac and B.I.G. on a catchy but boring number; the repetitive beat gets quite tiresome, but 2Pac's rap makes the song. A rap rendition of the Commodores' "Brick House" compels for about 30 seconds, and then your mind starts wandering. Trapp and Chocolate Chip meant well, and diehard 2Pac and B.I.G. collectors will find any pleasure here.
